Game case: District Steel
Right now I am doing the score for an exciting VR game project, called ‘District Steel’. Thanks to the really nice guys from Barricade Studio I could start working on this game in the very early ages of my music education. It taught me a ton of vital information about music application in ‘the real world’. Things like producing on a time schedule, musical storytelling, thematic sound design and adaptive scoring (splitting a theme into multiple tracks with different moods and energy levels), to name a few.
Still planning to do: implementing Wwise into my workflow, using Ableton instead of FL Studio (sorry guys, no offence 😉 and exploring new genres to expand my horizon.
The genres of the music for District Steel: Dark Synthwave, 80’s rock with an orchestral touch to the soundtrack, not shy of some modern bits and pieces.
My preference in game music could be described with tags like: sensitive, orchestral, epic, raw, emotive.
